The tasks of W3P2 were largely done on a decent level. Some spreadsheet submissions were downgraded for not using absolute reference (as was required) and in some cases not using formulas at all. The SQL task was largely done surprisingly well. The DSS/KMS discussion was done on the level slightly above average (could have been a better research with more serious own contributions). This is why the average grade was not 6 (as I described in the tasks) but 7.
Analysis of the course as IS was done quite well. There were many 9 point grades (seriously above average performance), but nobody got 10.
Congratulations with good work and learning important materail in this short semester! Hope it will allow you to see system and IS features in the world around you.

Notes on W3P1 Grading
Basically, the class showed a good effort and understanding of the material. Hope it will be seen on the quiz...
Apps were done fine, but in blogs a few students didn't do the task dropping below the curve and pushing those who just do everything up.
Cloud computing posts were largely done on the level of 7 points since there was little original thinking and input. Students in their grades showed understanding of this fact.
In E-Business discussion the level was also average (about 7) but a few students didn't do the replies also pushing them down the curve and others lucky ones up.
The grading task was done on a very average level with 6 points for all 12 grades but when the commentary didn't show real analysis. A small group of students did only 8 grades - which decreased their grade (also for not reading Q&A where I explicitly said about ALL forums = 12 grades). And a very small group didn't do the grading by, again, pushing their grades down and the rest up.
This shows the importance of reading the tasks and checking if all was done before finishing work. Also reading the blog and my replies to students' posts (as well as Q&A) helps since I reflect on visible problems. You have a little bit left - please focus, who hasn't done it already.

More on self-grading...
Some students do not read Q&A (which they have to) where I said that ALL THREE forums should be graded with total = 12 students graded.
If, at least, they read my blog - then there probably will be time to add 4 more students to those who did only 8.

Embedding tables and sheets into your blog
If you want to embed a database or a sheet into your blog so that EVERYONE can see it (like in case of apps) - you need to click on the link when you are the Publish dialog in Zoho:
"To access this view/table without login , Click Here"
If you want only me to see the embedded table (like students' grades) then DO NOT click on it and only I will be able to see it as a database group member (this is the beauty of security and privacy measures on zoho).
If instead you see:
"To make it prompt for login , Click Here "
Then it is already publicalyy visible but if you click on it - it will make it visible only to the database group members (me).

Grading Task for W3P1
Some students already started emailing in their grades, but you should pay attention to the need of CREATING A ZOHO SHEET in a table form described in the tasks, exporting it as a .csv file or creating on your home Excel and saving as a .csv file. Then attach it to your email which is described in the tasks. If you have trouble in understanding .csv format - google it. It is just a comma separated text...
If you tried to import your .csv file back into zoho or even open it on your own computer - you will notice that it automati cally starts ANY Spreadsheet software that is there and opens your csv file in it as a spreadsheet. Since it is a simple text file, it allows exchanging spreadsheet files between different systems like zoho, Excel on PC or Mac, OpenOffice, and many others. This is one of the collaboration ways and using networks for sending widely accepted formats.

Re: problem with embedding into blogs
Zoho - Blogger embedding mechanism has been described in the task T2.4.
Some students corrected the database code (spreadsheet code was OK) but didn't paste it into the HTML/JavaScript gadget window. They should re-read T2.4 and redo those tasks because the problem will continue decreasing their grades since you will continue embedding content into your blogs. Also, although they will not get lost points for these task done after the deadline - they might get better standing in the merit/effort evaluation which might affect the grade up to half a letter grade.
Also, when somebody corrects past problems and shortcomings - please email me about your effort and the location of the successful result so that I will consider it in merit/effort evaluation which will go along with attendance evaluation that can still be improved for some students.

W3P1 Notes on aspects not to be missed.
The best way of learning systems, and IS features in particular, includes the design of a small information system versus just learning buttons for the current version of Excel and Access. Normally, the development of an IS, even of a small size, is quite expensive and/or requires a lot of man/hour investments of highly skilled systems developers. Only organizations with sufficient capital were able to develop and use IS...
The evolution of software as a service (SAAS) with various types of accompanying web services (and apps) created a possibility of new methods in IS development – assembly of systems out of existing services LEGO – style. This simplicity has led to a dramatic increase in end-user creativity and development capabilities. In this course I want you to learn the most simple but effective ways of such system development for personal and organizational use. Become a one-person army, hmm... The basic services we were using so far included free blog development and support services, Zoho spreadsheet and database services and, what is most important, services allowing sharing and collaboration. Already this set of tools, if learned a bit deeper than you've done so far, allows for some basic IS development.
The new, mostly free, and easy to use services that can be incorporated in any custom IS design/redesign led to a new phenomenon: social networks. But the most important effect goes beyond increased activity of emerging social structures. This new unleashed power is studied in Collective Intelligence (CI) dealing with creation of super intelligences out of rather simple processing performed by its parts. Examples include ant societies, various swarm intelligence examples, and... effective teams and organizations. This possibility of acquiring enhanced intelligence is the biggest asset and advantage an organization can dream about nowadays, which comes not as much from the mere infrastructure presence, but its proper architecture and processes in accordance with this new Web 2.0/CI developments.
Web 2.0 technologies released the power and creativity of regular IT users making them producers/consumers (prosumers). These Web 2.0 technologies paired with proper CI organization (where effective collaboration is the key) are the main and the most fascinating developments in modern IS.
Another important event, not to be missed, is rapid growth of cloud computing (see the textbook) that makes Web 2.0 services and accompanying networking even easier.
Speaking of a special type of IS - Business IS (from chapter 5), we will find such terms stemming from what I was talking above like Enterprise 2.0 and electronic business. They have all the features of general systems and could be analyzed and dealt with according to the general systems models and ways of analysis. They also have all the features of generic IS with all the processes and components learned in Part 2. But they also have elements and processes of the socio-economic domain adding more specifics and the need in such necessary knowledge.

Code correction for the embedded version of the database table
After Alyssa's post analysis I found discrepancy between the way Zoho creates embedded code for databases and how Blogger can show it. You need to change single quotes (') surrounding all the fields to double quotes (''). See an example of what the code INSIDE IFRAME tags (that should remain in the beginning and at the end) should look like below:
frameborder=0 width="400" height="300" src="http://reports.zoho.com/ZDBDataSheetView.cc?OBJID=209601000000002032&STANDALONE=true&WIDTH=400&HEIGHT=300&ZDB_THEME_NAME=blue&DATATYPESYMBOL=false&REMTOOLBAR=true&SEARCHBOX=true"
This code should be pasted into the HTML/JavaScript gadget window as described in the T2.4 task.

Commentary on W2P1 Grading
Most of you have completed a rather advanced task learning to use spreadsheet app that are becoming very popular for organizational use in mobile and virtual teams (sharing option). But there were some problems that should be understood in order to have a good finish of the course:
Problem 1: inattentive reading of the tasks where each word means something and each phrase is a requirement, not complying with which will lead to point deductions. Like not sending me the login information for zoho which after the first day (didn't lead to zero points) will make your grade zero – so who hasn't sent it do it immediately
Problem 2: attendance problems show by some students (remember that evaluation of attendance will have an impact on your grade (up to 10%). Attendance is in reading (in addition to the tasks) my comments to student's posts (especially yours) during your DAILY logins, in reading my blog (mandatory), in my answers in Q&A forums, and in reading your email. Speaking of email – if you ask me for some assistance (email or messages) – read your emails often (like every 20 min since we will be in a dialog mode) and especially closer to the deadline.
Problem 3. Deadlines will be enforced and posts after it will be graded at zero. The best way to succeed is to do the tasks earlier so that in case of a problem – you get my feedback and can do the corrections. The feedback might be not to your post (if you have the same problem that I've already commented on in other posts done earlier than yours). The feedback (if it seems to be a general problem) might be addressed in my blog. After the fact, it is always commented on in your grades.
Problem 4. Students do not start the tasks by actually reading the chapter properly. This would allow to save time and gain quality in preparation for the quiz and in doing ALL assignments. It would also allow students to get better knowledge for the same time spent (and bang for the buck).
